GIANT Construction Update

It’s been a couple of weeks since our last construction update.

The space is starting to take shape – the staircase is enclosed, the walls have been framed and our conference rooms have come to life. We’ve also selected our workstations, lighting, fixtures, carpet and flooring choices.

Another week of construction at the new Giant headquarters is in the books.

Last week we received our permit from the City of Duluth. Our move-in goal is April 2017, which means our team, led by McGough Construction, is on a tight schedule.

Each week Pascha and I meet with our construction team to review progress. This week we sat down with Dean from Parsons Electric and Doug and Ted from Wagner Zaun.

Dean provided us an updated lighting plan that is exceptional - we can't wait to share the theme with our Giants and Giant Clients. Doug and Ted walked us through their modeling program to help us narrow down floor, cabinetry and paint selections. What I thought would be an overwhelming process was quite fun and painless - it also helps to be led by experts!

Giants Take INBOUND 2016

One thing is clear after our recent trip to Boston for the HubSpot INBOUND 2016 conference – the inbound movement continues to gain momentum. Giant Voices is nearing the fourth anniversary of our HubSpot partnership and this was our third year at the INBOUND conference. More than 18,000 people from around the globe were in attendance and nearly 2,000 agencies were represented. The conference was jam-packed with marketing and communication minds of all ages – although it’s clearly weighted to the millennial age bracket. There were many moments where I was obviously the elder in the room (for real).
